The small touch of light green in the obijime carries the feel of mid autumn through the piece—yellow or burgundy in the obijime would make it look older and somehow drier, as full autumn tints would be a totally warm color scheme. 

Shimaiya rarely uses obiage in their coordinations, you may notice, and while it works beautifully, I think a very pale sky blue/blue-grey could work well in this set.
